Joshua had an amazing season as well and here are some highlights and thoughts from his 2016 season.
The start of this awesome season, he was a fresh new Cat 3 and the goal was to upgrade to Cat 2 by the end of the season. First half of the season was simply amazing! He got all his points to upgrade to Cat 2 about midseason. He ended up losing about 23lbs and started to shatter the competion.
Cycling has been life changing for me. Now 4 yrs into it, 2yrs racing. What really got me motivated is our team, Monster Media Racing. We have some true legends on this team! Their support and help is unreal. With all their help and my huge will to want it. Nothing going to stop me. My cycling is being built off MMR.
Goals: Seeing that Cat1 on my license is for sure the number one goal. More stage racing! SoCal is all about crits. Which are really fun but stage racing is awesome. Had a chance to join the team and race Cascade Classic this year! It was so fun. Got my butt kick and loved every bit off it! Ready for more.
I also want to venture over into some endurance cycling. I joined my buddy/team mate Shawn Vangassen this summer for a 150 mile ride with almost 13K of climbing! It was painful awesome. We already have a 200 route planned out too! I would like do some 12hr-24hr racing. And that lifetime goal of giving RAAM a go!
